MURIEL JUNE PERLMAN  may not have been a cantor, but she had as much to do with the success of the Cantors Perlman as anyone.

Muriel was the wife of Ivan for 67 years and the mother of Eli, Emanuel, Rick, and Josh. As the children were growing up, Muriel remained home, insuring that the house was the type of home in which Jewish children could thrive.

Even when they were infants, Muriel would take the children to synagogue. Not only was it a place to pray, it was a place for the family to come together in song.

While she was alive, Muriel performed at all the concerts performed by the Cantors Perlman 5. She would join them on stage and sing a portion of the program with them, just as she did at the table in the Perlman home.

Muriel has also been featured in the theatrical productions of The Boy Friend, Milk and Honey, and Annie Get Your Gun. She was a member of Hadassah, ORT, the Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary, and many synagogue Sisterhoods.

Muriel June (Herman) Perlman returned to G-d on July 24, 2015 (Av 8). May her memory be for a blessing for all of us.
